Bilqis Hijjas does everything in Malaysia to do with dance. She is the founding editor of Critics Republic. A producer, lecturer and community organizer in contemporary dance, And believes that the main purpose of criticism is to enhance the audience’s appreciation of art.

We speak about her efforts in Malaysia (and neighbouring countries) underpinned by the pervasive (post?)colonial and hybrid ethnic/cultural narratives, obvious and not so obvious.
